Tawanda has worked in media for over fifteen years. She was the Editor of Zimbabwe’s first feminist website, Her Zimbabwe as well as of groundbreaking independent newspaper, Harare News. Her essays were published in the anthology “Letters From Africa” in 2015. Her work focuses on the dynamics of politics and culture and has appeared in True Africa, Women’s eNews, The Mail & Guardian and The Guardian UK. In 2023 she was the host of the BBC World Service audio documentary “Women Writing Zimbabwe”.
